History

Nordic Sawmill Support was founded in 2006 but our roots reach a lot further:

• 1934 Suomen Sandvik Sahat Oy
• 1960 Suomen Sandvik Oy
• 2004 Sandvik Tamrock
• 2006 Sandvik Materials Technology
• 2006 Nordic Sawmill Support Oy

In April 2006 Sandvik gave up the wood working products unit and Nordic Sawmill Support was founded. Another well-known blade producer, MunkforsSågar AB, became our new owner.

Today we focus on supplying blades and services mainly for sawmills, re-sawing industry and panel & board factories. Our main market areas are Finland, North Europe, South America and Africa.

We produce and service bandsaw blades – other products are acquired for our customers from reliable European suppliers. Our co-operation with two Swedish circular saw blade manufacturers has lasted for decades. Stabilized and reliable supplier relations guarantee best possible service and product quality also to our customers.

Our strong points as a supplier lie in our professional personnel, flexible production methods, right quality and ability to deliver on demand.
